Albuquerque Violates NM Constitution for Installing Turf in Rio Rancho

New Mexico Gladiators enjoy the brand new turf in Rio Rancho Events Center. But much to their enjoyment, the city of Albuquerque is facing charges for violation of NM constitution for spending taxpayer money on projects outside the city. The $236,622 appears to be a gift which the Inspector General find inappropriate considering the field is a private corporation. The inappropriate use of funds is a major offense and many individuals including the city mayor should be answerable for this purchase. However, concerned administrators remain firm that the purchase of turf was done properly and the Inspector General was misinformed. They said that they are willing to cooperate with the investigation to help clear their names.
